The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) announced yesterday that the proposed changes to Partner Visa Sponsorship would not go ahead on 17 April after all.
Apparently the necessary changes to the regulations and other matters have not been drafted in time. Given the upcoming election, I doubt anything will happen until afterwards.
Don’t forget there will be hefty increases to Partner Visa application charges on 1 July though.
