The Subclass 115 Remaining Relative visa allows someone living outside of Australia whose only near relatives are living in Australia to travel to Australia and live permanently in Australia once the visa is granted.

The processing time for the Subclass 115 Remaining Relative visa is very long (currently 50 years!)

We strongly recommend that eligible applicants  travel to Australia on a temporary visa and apply in Australia for a subclass 835 Remaining Relative visa. This will allow you to remain in Australia on a Bridging Visa which while the application is processed.
