Subclass 186 Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Visa
The subclass 186 Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visa it is a Permanent Residence visa for skilled workers who have a nominating Australian employer.
The subclass 186 visa has two streams, the Subclass 186 Temporary Residence Transition (TRT) Stream and the Subclass 186 Direct Entry (DE) Stream.
The Subclass 186 TRT Visa
…is for 457 or TSS (Subclass 482) visa holders who have worked for the same employer on their 457 or TSS visas for a minimum of two to three years (depending upon circumstances and whether the 457 was held prior to 18 April 2017) and whose employer is prepared to nominate them for a Subclass 186 Visa.
The Subclass 186 Direct Entry Stream
…is for applicants
- with occupations on the Medium and Long-Term Skilled Occupation List (MTSOL)
- who meet the criteria for a skills assessment in their occupation,
- who have worked for at least three years at a skilled level in their occupation and,
- who have an Australian employer prepared to nominate them for a Subclass 186 Visa.
