Subclass 836 Carer Visa

The subclass 836 Carer visa is for someone already in Australia who needs to care for an Australian relative, with the long-term or permanent medical condition.

Applicants must hold a valid visa which allows them to apply for another visa in Australia.

Applicants will then be granted a bridging visa to remain in Australia while their application is processed.
